Hosting during the holidays is by far one of my favorite things to do. I love opening our home to all our friends and family, and there are always so many laughs and such great memories created.
My other favorite part of hosting is creating the different tablescapes. There is nothing better than allowing your guests to sit around a gorgeous table with good food and even better company. So let me take you through how I tackle creating that beautiful table design.
To start, you will want to gather all your supplies. For this tablescape I got two different types of garland, varying sprigs, decor pieces for the center and throughout the table, candle sticks, plates, placemats, pretty napkins, napkin rings and the plates and utensils.
To start, you want to lay out your base garland, and stretch out each of the different sections to give the base more body. For this particular spread, I used a faux cedar strand. I placed two strands along the table as I wanted it to drape over on either side.
The two faux garlands I used were THIS faux pine, and truly is the most gorgeous/realistic faux I have ever seen!
THIS faux eucalyptus is another stunner and one you can use at all Holidays!
To start, you want to lay out your base garland, and stretch out each of the different sections to give the base more body. For this particular spread, I used a faux cedar strand. I placed two strands along the table as I wanted it to drape over on either side.
Once you have the base garland to your liking, it is time to add in your second type of garland. I used a strand of faux eucalyptus leaves, and added two to stretch the length of my table. With this strand you will want to weave it into the other to give the look of one lush garland.
Next, you will want to add in your additional sprigs for color. I ended up going with ones that had touches of white and then I tied a red ribbon around each to add a touch of color.
Once you have done this, layout your placemats and add your dishes to each setting.
Knowing where your dishes are placed in relation to the decor pieces is helpful so you don’t overcrowd the center display. Now that the plates are down you can add in all the final touches.
I used eight taper candlestick holders, a set of oversized gold bells, and placed silver and gold ornaments throughout the garland. Then I added my decorative napkins and napkin rings to the top of each plate.
The final steps to this are placing the utensils and the drinking glasses. You truly only need to add a few touches to this to make it a stunning setup, and one that all your guests will be wowed by.
It also only takes a little bit of time, and you can purchase most of the items either at your local stores or on Amazon.
Here is a final look at my table. I hope this has given you the confidence to create your own stunning tablescape this holiday season!
